Clay Stephens was born in Georgia, though a resident of Florida since 1960. With a life-long love of Fine Arts, his design experience is extensive, leaving his distinctive mark on design projects around the world. Clay has exhibited his art in galleries in Sarasota, Boca Raton and Vero Beach. He founded Clay Stephens Interiors, Inc. in 1984, a successful interior design business in Cocoa Beach, Florida. The business has now relocated to Orlando, Fl. and up dated it’s name to Clay Stephens Lifestyles. Clay is a Florida State Licensed Designer, # ID0003882; Allied member A.S.I.D., I.D.S. Professional Member and has been featured in numerous national design publications.
Continuing studies includes a 14-day art and architectural tour of Paris, France and Tunisia, North Africa, as well as on-going studies at the Museum of Art and Science, Melbourne, Fl.; The Atlantic Center for the Arts, New Smyrna Beach, Fl.; the Orlando Museum of Art, Orlando, Fl. Areas of expertise: all phases of residential and commercial design, homes, condos, yachts, offices, hospitality and model homes.
He is also experienced in furniture and accessory buying, fine art purchases and project management. Affiliations and memberships include, ASID, allied member; IDS, professional member; Orlando Museum of Art, Maitland Art Center, Brevard Museum of Art and Science; Member of the creative board, Paradise Brevard magazine, Satellite Beach, Fl.; Past member Space Coast Arts Festival committee and juror Cocoa Beach, Fl.
